Business Objectives

The redesign aimed to facilitate better user experience by improving navigation and usability, and thus increase conversion rates.

The Problem

The website was a visual dump. There was no structure to the content, resulting in confusion rather than coherence to users.

Before Redesign

Insights into what users think about the site. Common Pain points of users:

Design Process

The whole process is into 3 steps as follows:

Information Architecture

We have added the 3 products line to the global navigation to clarify what we offer.

Every page had a redirection to the contact us page considering it would result in an increased conversion rate. As a team, we rewrote the global navigation to a language that users will understand as follows:

Mission -> Run a Challenge
Marketplace -> Buy Stock
Business -> For Business
Contributor -> For Creator

Design System

My responsibilities as creative lead included to create style guide, visual design, navigation design, and feature development for the website.

Redesign User Interface

Interface design results in a modern, clearly defined, minimalist, and clean layout. This site reflects the vibrant feel of Asia with bright photos and in addition with a new proposed earthy color palette.

Key Takeaways

The design should speak the users' language. The principles of Jakob's Law state that users prefer what they are familiar with, so changing common user behaviours without a reason only confuses and frustrates them. This was applicable to everything at a component level, for instance where a button fits within a hierarchy.
